We operate primarily in the B-to-B space helping organizations with business strategy, market development, trend analyses, scenarios and futuristic market/industry analysis.

Through our work we provide insight for sound decision making, planning, strategy, and action.

Linton Consulting tracks strategic issues and trends in selected industries including work in Energy, Power, Process, Industrial, and Manufacturing sectors performing ongoing studies for private clients.  Our Strategic Views of industries and issues are developed through ongoing analyses and executive interviews.

Linton participates in Powergen / Nuclear Power International, December 13-15 in Las Vegas.

November, 2011
Interviews for Strategic View - Nuclear continue. Linton participates in Nuclear Energy Insider's D&D Conference and conducts a dinner roundtable on, "Americas Nuclear Future," a discussion of the Blue Ribbon Commission's (BRC) draft report and recommendations on nuclear waste. Roundtable conducted in conjunction with EPRI's Andrew Sowder who followed the activities of the BRC throughout its 1.5 year-life.

October, 2011
Linton participates in Nuclear Energy Insider's Construction and Finance Conferences and conducts a dinner roundtable on Nuclear Emergency Planning / Emergency Response. The Construction conference in Charlotte was attended by over 300 delegates.

Linton selected as one of two consultants to work with the Carolina Nuclear Cluster's SBA "creative economies" project. This program, now in its second year seeks to increase employment in the Carolinas' Power/Nuclear industry through increased development of the local nuclear supply chain.

September, 2011 Linton Participation in 3 Global Nuclear Events
Linton participates in World Nuclear Association annual symposium in London (September 14-16) and the IAEA annual conference in Vienna (September 19-21), significantly broadening our perspectives and contacts for Strategic View - Nuclear program.

Linton also travels to Abu Dhabi and Dubai for interviews and participation in Nuclear Energy Insider’s Middle East and North Africa Nuclear Construction Conference in Dubai (September 26-27). Roundtable at this event attracted a number of high level international participants interested in new nuclear since it focused on best practices in nuclear development. The roundtable featured Lightbridge Corporation's Jon Johnson as a speaker.

Linton also attended the Plimplex event in Charlotte on September 30.

Interviews for Strategic View - Nuclear continue. Diversification program for major EPC/Manufacturing and Fabrication firm moves forward.

July, 2011 Linton Announces Alliance with UxC, Atlanta, GA; Participation in 3 Global Nuclear Events; New Consulting Engagement
In mid-July Linton Consulting and the Ux Consulting Company announced their alliance. Linton will provide selected market development services for UxC. UxC is a leading source of Consulting, Data Services & Publications on the Global Nuclear Fuel Cycle Markets. See UxC.com.

Additionally, Linton announces participation in the upcoming World Nuclear Association annual symposium in London, the IAEA annual conference in Vienna, and Nuclear Energy Insider’s Middle East and North Africa Nuclear Construction Conference in Dubai, all in September.

In mid-July Linton kicked off a consulting engagement to provide diversification assistance to a major EPC/Manufacturing and Fabrication organization.

June 16-17, 2011 Executive Roundtable at Nuclear Power Uprate Conference, Charlotte
Linton conducts dinner/roundtable at Nuclear Energy Insider Power Uprate Conference in Charlotte, NC. The Roundtable focused on Duke Energy's recent experiences in implementing Digital Instrumentation and Control Upgrades. This is a high interest topic for the future of the industry due to obsolescence of existing devices and the quest for improved plant reliability.

June 14-15, 2011 Executive Roundtable at Nuclear Power Supply Chain Conference, Charlotte
Linton conducts dinner/roundtable at Nuclear Enegery Insider Supply Chain Conference in Charlotte, NC. Roundtable participants included an international audience that shared views on scenarios for the commercial nuclear industry, post Fukushima.

May 23–27 , 2011 Strategic View Interviews and Executive Roundtable, Brussels
Linton conducts Strategic View interviews in London and Brussels, and leads dinner/roundtable at Nuclear Energy Insider Maintenance and Modernization Conference (Brussels). Roundtable included an international audience that shared views on scenarios for the commercial nuclear industry, post Fukushima.

May 10-12, 2011 - Strategic View Interviews Washington D.C.
Coinciding with the Nuclear Energy Assembly, Linton conducts nine key Strategic View interviews with industry leaders in Washington D.C. for the 2011 Strategic View. Interviews included leaders with WANO, CSIS, NRDC, AREVA, TVA, World Nuclear Association and EDF .

April 28, 2011 - Linton participates in SEMA conference, Augusta, GA
A large number of government nuclear leaders presented and networked at this annual SEMA event in Augusta. James Moody, new site director for DOE presented highlights from the latest SRS strategic plan. Ron Schroder, Eric Loewen, Sal Golub and others shared their views on small reactors and their potential for the site’s future.

April 19, 2011 - Linton Conducts Small Reactor roundtable, exploring international markets
Approximately 25 leaders participated in the Linton Consulting/Nuclear Energy Insider Small Modular Reactor Conference (SMR) dinner/roundtable meeting held at the Columbia, SC Marriott Hotel. The session explored the opportunities and challenges of international markets for SMRs.

April 18-20, 2011 - Linton Leads Nuclear Tours
In conjunction with Nuclear Energy Insider’s Small Modular Reactor Conference, Linton Consulting personnel organized and conducted four nuclear industry tours, each with 12-15 participants. Sites visited included Georgia Power’s Plant Vogtle and the Savannah River Site, including the MOX facility (4/18); and South Carolina Electric and Gas’s VC Summer site and Westinghouse Nuclear Fuels Plant (4/21). Very positive feedback was received from participants who saw and experienced the U.S. nuclear renaissance first hand.

March 8 – 10, 2011 - Linton Consulting Participates in Regulatory Information Conference (RIC)
We had two representatives present at the NRC’s annual RIC. The two and one-half days were filled with industry insights and networking. A Small Modular Reactor session was filled to overflowing with perhaps 300-400 attendees and more turned away due to lack of room. 2011 meeting archives to be posted at NRC’s website.

February 15, 2011 - Linton Consulting Announces Marketing Partnership with Nuclear Energy Insider / FC Business Intelligence
After a series of successful programs in 2010, Linton Consulting and Nuclear Energy Insider have agreed to work jointly on up to 7 new conferences on various aspects of the nuclear industry during 2011. Bill Linton will lead Roundtables on a variety of topics at upcoming conferences beginning with the Small Modular Reactor Conference on April 19-20 in Columbia, SC. The Roundtable topic for the SMR Conference will be International Markets and Export Challenges for SMRs.

December 20, 2010 - Linton Consulting Attendance at Powergen / Nuclear Power International Conference
Over 19,000 people from 92 countries attended Powergen/NPI in Orlando on December 14-16. Linton Consulting participated with three representatives, covering multiple seminars including Small Modular Reactors and the outlook for primary forms of generation.

Linton Consulting 2010 Roundtables
December 1, 2010 - During 2010, Bill Linton convened Roundtables in conjunction with Nuclear Energy Insider’s conferences on Nuclear Supply Chain (Charlotte), Nuclear Construction (Charlotte), and Nuclear Financing (Washington D.C.). Additionally, a Linton Consulting Executive Roundtable was conducted on the topic, Strategic View – Energy Parks in Aiken, SC on behalf of SRNS. This was the culmination of a year long study to explore Energy Parks as an option for future DOE sites.
