Benchmarking and Best Practices Roundtables (Updated 2/2018)

We have now completed 4 Roundtable sessions over 4 years:

    -  Stone Mountain, GA in 2014;
    -  Greenville, SC in 2015 with a visit to BMW;
    -  Dallas, TX in 2016 with a visit to Texas Instruments; and
    -  Shanghai, China in 2017 with a visit to Morimatsu

These were multi-industry sessions designed to serve the needs of Facilities, Real Estate, Engineering, Construction, Capital and Project Management Leaders by convening smaller groups of approximately 10 companies and 12-15 personnel.  Our approach favors 'best practices' (qualitative) comparisons and discussions over statistical (quantitative) comparisons.  We also seek to include company site visits to provide the added experience of tangible observations and examples.

For the remainder of 2018 we are planning several special sessions to provide more depth on specialized themes as described below.  The specific agenda for each session is being determined through direct interviews with participants.

Our 2018, Benchmarking and Best Practices sessions will continue our 2-Day Executive Roundtable format and offer the following themes:

1. Facilities, Engineering, Operations & Maintenance – (March 2018 - Stone Mountain, GA) We have found significant interest among operations, plant and engineering leaders as many initiate more efficient functions as well as increasing factory digitalization. New philosophies and modern technologies are transforming maintenance to a more predictive, proactive and productive one. These functions are growing in sophistication, automation, and contribution to asset health and value. There are many other topics including HR, team and culture building to be explored.  We continue to seek input to create a comprehensive, solid agenda for high value to participants.

2. Facilities, Engineering & Project Management, Real Estate in Asia (Proposed for May 2018, Shanghai) - Like most of our previous sessions, this one will convene corporate leaders in facilities, engineering, project management, construction, real estate and related functions.  We will explore multiple themes from organizational comparisons to capital efficiency, capital planning, global procurement, modularization, maintaining competencies, HR development to outsourcing strategies, linking global expertise, standard design platforms, data management, university collaborations and others.  Themes and agenda topics will be expanded or narrowed according to the interests of participants.

3. Managing Energy & Sustainability – (June 2018 - Greenville, SC) Industrial, Manufacturing, and Power/Energy companies are experiencing rapidly changing regulatory, policy and technical paradigms and practices. What was best practice in past decades has changed and will change again in the next decade as regulatory forces and sustainability culture grows. Energy management, renewable generation, CHP, new procurement strategies, microgrids, storage, GHG emissions, offsets and other similar issues will be explored. There are a growing number of options for companies on both sides of the energy demand-supply equation. We are now defining the agenda topics to create a robust exchange for large industrial energy users, distributors and generators.
As always, we are developing our next Benchmarking and Best Practices sessions concepts and curriculum with input from past and future participants. We want to hear topics you would like to explore, companies/people you would like to hear from and share with. We also want to hear about industries/facilities you would like to visit and when you or your colleagues are available for sessions.

Our value proposition is to provide our clients with a high value experience and insights worth many times your investment of time and resources. Our business model is set for each participant to contribute $5,000 for which you may send up to 2 participants. We will also offer discounts for special situations & those who will commit in advance for multiple sessions.

We look forward to talking with you soon to expand our vision for these, and other possible sessions. We will further communicate the agenda, timing and location details for these sessions as they develop.
